Volunteer Efforts

Volunteers are the backbone of our COVID response. They have been putting in time and donations to ensure that our community and McClintock families are taken care of. McPIE is fortunate to have a dedicated group of volunteers who bag groceries, deliver meals, provide food and supplies, and distribute grocery bags. Tuesday and Friday were days students and families could pick up Challenge Packs and groceries at McClintock during Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools grab 'n' go lunch program. Currently (Fall 2021), Wednesday is grocery distribution day at McClintock. Other volunteer efforts include work at the Charlotte Convention Center assisting Second Harvest Food Bank and at Crisis Assistance Ministry helping clients apply for funding for overdue rent and utility bills.
