BATTLE OF THE BOOKS

 

McClintock's Battle of the Books team attended the SE Charlotte Region competition last Friday. It was a fitting way to celebrate the birthday of Dr. Seuss!  The 5 team members prepared for this Quiz Bowl competition by reading 27 books and practiced every Tuesday and Wednesday.  They had 6 rounds of 12 questions about the content of the books in head to head matchups against 3 other Middle Schools and represented the Mighty Scots very well.  They did not win the close competition (all teams were within 10 points of each other) but enjoyed competing and are looking forward to next year!
